Meet each of Fireweed’s bitches (Yakity and Aimme). All our bitches are either field trialed and/or hunted and worked, and all will be put through some form of field title. Those able will be given the opportunity to receive their conformation championship. Each of our brood bitches are OFA (hip) certified and have CERF (eye) certification.

Dual CH AFC Genny’s Yakity Yak Don’t Talk Back

As a youngster, Yakity was always way ahead of schedule. She finished her derby career with 15 points including two all-breed wins. She then won her second entered Qualifying stake against a field of 80+ dogs in 2003. Yakity also took an Amateur all-breed third in Kansas in the fall of 2003. In 2004, she took time out to raise a spring litter before starting back running amateur and all-age stakes. Yakity has continued to excel quickly as she loves this stuff! 2005 was a good year winning a limited all-breed giving her win for both field trial titles and qualifying for the 2006 National Amateur.

In 2006, Yakity continued to excel by completing 8 series of her first National Amateur, continuing to win and place in all-age stakes putting herself within one point of her FC and AFC titles. As an added bonus, she was also shown in conformation and in one weekend earned 13 points including 4 majors. She completed her bench championship 3 weeks later with another major and BOW. Yakity finished her AFC title in May and her Dual Championship in September.

Cash her only puppy from Yakity’s first litter is now qualified all-age at 29 months old.

CH Genny’s Aim-Me Quick, SH QAA

Aimee is a 65 lb medium-brown bitch with a tremendous desire to please and retrieve. She finished her bench championship in March 2003 with very little campaigning (think you Ellen Cottingham). It just took longer as she was running field trials too -- and they came first. We are very pleased with this championship as she is out of two field titled dogs and was their first bench champion offspring. Aimme is qualified all-age and has an Amateur JAM to her credit as well.

Aimee is proving to be an exceptional producer. Her successful offspring include Atlas Goes to War “Wally” QAA at 25 months of age with two qulifying stake wins; CH Happyfeet General Charlie who has earned derby JAMS and completed his conformation championship; Fireweed’s Boogie Woogie Rumble, JH titled and earned derby JAMS; and Fireweed’s Otter who has earned qualifying JAMS.
